Temporary Resident Permit (TRP)
Discretionary entry for travellers who are otherwise inadmissible to Canada.
Overview
A Temporary Resident Permit allows a person who would otherwise be inadmissible to Canada — for reasons such as past criminality, medical inadmissibility, or misrepresentation — to enter or remain in Canada for a limited time when there are compelling reasons that outweigh the risk.
TRP applications are decision-driven by the strength of the supporting record. Lev Law helps clients build a focused submission, address the underlying inadmissibility, and structure a credible narrative for the officer reviewing the file.
Best for
- Travellers with past criminal records seeking entry for work or family reasons
- Individuals refused entry at the border who need to return to Canada
- Anyone navigating a finding of misrepresentation or medical inadmissibility
